Nelly and Ashanti stick to tested and tested principles to keep their marriage strong.
The couple has started on a new reality show about their life entitled Nelly and Ashanti: We belong together.
For the unknown, the couple met first and met in 2003. They collapsed in 2013 and came back together in 2023 and paved the knot secretly three months later.
They welcomed son KK, whose full name is Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, in July 2024.
Now they share what keeps their marriage going.
“Just try to do the right thing with each other, man,” Nelly told people
When he shares another rule, he emphasized listening and said, “You will definitely listen, will definitely hear people. I think if you can carry it down to the facts, the facts sometimes may not be in your favor. And that is a difficult thing to find a foundation about.”
“It’s like ‘yo, okay, it doesn’t make me look good.’ But I’m willing to say, ‘you’re right in it, but that’s how it made me feel.’ And you have to be able to take the good with the bad in that conversation, ”he explained.
Ashanti repeated Nelly’s statement and noted that communication is “extremely important”, especially when traveling, and one of them is “on the other side of the world.”
