After missing the last five matches, Caitlin Clark on Cuspet will appear to return to the Court for the Indiana fever.
Head coach Stephanie White told journalists on Tuesday that she expects her star point guard to be available against the Golden State Valkyries Wednesday night at home.
“If there is no setback after today, I expect her to be available,” White said.

Clark admitted that it has been difficult to see her team from the sidelines, so she enjoyed a full practice Monday with her teammates.
“Yes, I just think it’s nice to get back out there and get into the flow of playing with my teammates again,” she said. “It will be fun to get back out there hopefully and just feel things again.”

The question is what White will do with regard to Clark’s minutes if she is actually available Tuesday night.
Clark has previously noticed that she does not like minutes’ limitations when she is healthy enough to play. However, she understands that White has to do her job to make sure the fever gets away with the victory.
“I don’t know the type of minutes I get and what it will look like, but just compete and play hard,” Clark said. “This becomes a team that is moving constantly, so just pay attention and active. Bring energy. It’s hard to sit out for a few weeks, so I’m definitely excited to get back out there.”

Clark added that she hopes for a “decent amount” of minutes if she plays, preferably in the “Upper-20s.”
“Depends on how I feel and how the game goes and what the team needs,” she said.
The fever has gone 3-2 in Clark’s latest absence this season. She missed five matches earlier this year with a left quad strain.
White discussed how her team has seen since Clark, which the offense usually runs through when she is on the field, has been sidelined.

“First of all, our defensive energy and forces had been really good,” she said. “Our mobility, our activity level, our ability to perform schemes, for the most part, had been really good. We have had defensive versatility and I love offensively how the ball is moving. More players who get touch, we move aside aside. We get a high percentage look and it’s been part of just conversations like ‘c’ get back on the floor.”
In the nine games she has played this season, Clark is an average of 18.2 points, 8.9 assists and five rebounds per year. Match.
