- Another Samsung Galaxy S25 FE -leakage has emerged
- The Mid-Range phone is set to get a better OLED screen
- We might see this handset launched in September
So far, we have not heard much about a successor to the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, which was launched in September 2024, but a fresh leak suggests that the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE could bring a pretty significant screen upgrade with it.
According to Zdnet in South Korea (via Gsmarena), the Galaxy S25 FE gets an upgraded, flexible OLED screen to initiate some improvements over the stiff OLED screen used in the Galaxy S24 FE.
Being ‘flexible’ does not mean that the screen can bend, but the technology allows thinner screens and smaller frames to make the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE a phone that looks and feels more premium than the one that came before it.
It also costs more that you could expect – a price increase that can be transferred to customers. As you will see from our Samsung Galaxy S24 FE review, the price of that phone of $ 649.99 / £ 649 / AU $ 1,099 started when it was launched.
Cameras and processors
If you are new to FE (or Fan Edition) models, they are typically reworking flagship phones that deal with some specifications, materials and features at a lower price. That should be the case again when the Galaxy S25 FE is launched.
A few months ago we got a leak in terms of the cameras on this phone, and it sounds like only the Selfie camera will be updated to 12MP from 10MP. The rear 50MP + 12MP + 8MP camera module will apparently be the same.
It would be somewhat disappointing, but we hope the Galaxy S25 Fe at least gets a processor bump, so it will be a little faster than its predecessor, even though the quality of the photos and videos it catches remains rather unchanged.
Before we come to the Galaxy S25 FE, which was to land sometime in September, we have the next Samsung -packed event happening tomorrow, July 9, where we should see the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Watch 8.
