King Charles and Queen Camilla attended an exhibition Wednesday and celebrated 40 years of artists who accompanied official overseas visits.
The exhibition showed art from 43 artists who are connected to the king on 70 official visits to 95 countries and regions, Buckingham Palace said.
In a well -established tradition, Royals personally selects and finances an artist to accompany them to visit abroad.
After each tour, Charles has acquired at least one work as part of his private collection, the palace said.
The royal family shared a video of the king and the Queen’s visit with a caption that read: “For the past 40 years, the king has ordered an artist to accompany him on each of his official overseas trips. This various selection of painters has been able to observe and capture unique moments and extraordinary places from 70 official visits to 95 countries and regions.”
