ANP -Leader, COP cut down in Bajaur

Bajaur:

Awami National Party (ANP) leader Maulana Khan Zeb was closed down with her police protection near Shandai mother, steps away from the headquarters of Khar Tehsil, Bajaur Tribal District in Khyber -Pakhtunkhwa. The deadly assault also left three others wounded.

According to sources, Maulana Khan Zeb, who also served as the central secretary of religious affairs in ANP, was an active campaign for a peace marsh scheduled for July 13 in Bajaur when unidentified attacks opened fire on his vehicle. The ANP leader and police constable Sherzada were injured and succumbed to their injuries.

They wounded – identified as Dr. Tariq, Shah Sawar and Usman – were moved to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment.

After the incident, ANP workers and local residents staged a protest while carrying the coffin of the slain leader near Khar Bazaar.

The funeral beans for Maulana Khan Zeb will be offered today in his original village, Nawagai.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi strongly condemned the tragic firing event in the merged district Bajaur, which demanded the life of the Awami National Party (ANP) Stalwart Maulana Khan Zeb and Police COP.

The governor expressed deep grief over the loss of precious life and expanded inner compassion for the deprived families.

“We are in solidarity with the grieving families in this painful time,” Governor said Kundi.

He offered prayers to the departed souls and sought forgiveness for the deceased and patience for families to bear the enormous loss. “I share my deepest compassion for the ANP leadership, party workers and the grief families affected by this heartbreaking event,” he added.
