- Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold has appeared on geekbonch
- Its score is far lower than those from Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
- However, it is still an improvement of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s score
Samsung just revealed his line of folding phones for 2025, overwritten by Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, and next time it’s Google, with Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, expected to land in August – but if you’re looking for a foldable and power is your priority, a new benchmark is that you are better at buying Z Fold 7 than waiting for Google’s new fold.
A geekbonch list for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold (stained by notebookcheck) includes a single-core score of 2,276 and a multi-core result of 6,173. In isolation, these numbers may not mean much, but they are good under the results we have seen for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
While Geekbench has not yet stated an average score for Z Fold 7, they include recent results like 2,826 and 2,552 for single-core and 9,053 and 8,639 for multi-core. It is likely that when an average is reached, it will correspond to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s average as this phone has the same chipset and amount RAM, and it sits on 2,878 for EN-CORE and 9,510 for multi-core.
Expected underpowered
All of these numbers are much higher than Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s results. Now we would take Pixel’s results with a pinch of salt as these would have been registered on a handset before release so that further optimization could take place. And this is only a result, so it can end up being an outlier.
But there is nothing too surprising here, as the Google Tensor G5 chips that the phone is likely to use probably does not match the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset. This is the case every year, with Google’s chipset that proves less powerful than rival opportunities.
Still, this is an improvement in the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which tends to detect one-core scores of just under 2,000 and multi-core scores of about 4,500.
So by going past this one Pixel 10 Pro Fold result, it must be a significant upgrade on at least the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and while it will probably not be the fastest phone around, it is unlikely to feel lack of power in everyday use.
We had to find out for sure in August, with leaks pointing to August 20 as a message date for the entire Google Pixel 10 line.
