World # 1 Jannik Sinner defeated the tennis legend Novak Djokovic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4, Friday to move on to the Wimbledon final at All England Club.
Sinner, 23, takes on Carlos Alcaraz in the final on Sunday. The Wimbledon final is a new match from the 2025 French Open, with Alcaraz defeating Sinner in a legendary match that went five sets.
Djokovic was hampered by a groin injury through Friday’s match. The 24-time Grand Slam winner sustained the injury in his quarter-final victory over Flavio Cobolli.

The 38-year-old canceled his exercise session on Thursday due to the injury, and it was clear throughout the fight against Sinner that Djokovic did not move as well as he usually does.
At one point during the match, Djokovic requested a medical timeout to receive treatment of the wounded groin.
Sinner had only 17 unclear errors compared to Djokovics 28. Djokovic fought for his second serving and won only 17% of his second serving points.

Sinner and Alcaraz are the first two players facing in the French Open and the Wimbledon final in the same year since Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal did so in 2008. Nadal Won Wimbledon and French Open that year.
Alcaraz is the two-time defending Wimbledon champion and is in his third consecutive Wimbledon final while Sinner performs in his first final in the grass course tournament.

Sinner is 4-8 in his career against Alcaraz and has lost his last five games against the Spanish.
Sinner and Alcaraz face Sunday at Center Court.
