James Gunn, the director of Supermanhas opened up why he chose not to tease future DC movies in the two end credit moments.
By release of Superman The film on July 11, 2025, the decision has given rise to conversation among fans, especially as it is a breach of the tradition of the films.
Talking with Screenrantthe director who previously made three Guardians of the Galaxy Movies to Marvel said, “In my time at Marvel, I found that first and foremost after my credit scenes of mine at Marvel, that people liked the best were the stupid.”
He added, “I’ve really found-and I’ve said it before-but I’ve created things in the scenes after credit, and Marvel has created things in those scenes after credit that never pays off.”

James Gun said he likes “giving the audience something for sitting around through the credits and seeing who all the hardworking people are in the movie. And then giving them something, I think, is fun.”
Yet Superman Movies suggested what’s next time when Sirens Star Milly Alock appeared on the screens as Supergirl, Cousin to Superman as the actress is leading her own Supergirl movie that will release in 2026.
