Nicki Minaj has finally revealed why she rejected an invitation to attend the Recording Academy.
Under the Live Show Stationhead, The 42-year-old rapper revealed that she was invited to participate in the Recording Academy organization, which was responsible for Grammys-but she rejected the offer.
The Super Freaky Girl said she had a personal reason to refuse the offer.
“At one point, Grammys asked me to join the board. I appreciated it,” Nicki said. “That it was a very, very, very friendly gesture, but my integrity couldn’t allow me to accept it.”
“This was before the release of Pink Friday 2,” she added.
In the revealing reason behind rejecting the offer, Nick said, “My integrity couldn’t allow me to sit on the board of something that absolutely did not make sense to me and to someone who understands.”
“So I said no. I thought it was kind of them to try. Why should I sit on the board if I don’t have a grammy?” added Bang Bang Hitmaker.
