Billy Bush has admitted that he was once trying to get out of Ricky Martin on the camera, but later ruined the footage.
The 53-year-old US radio hosts appeared on the latest episode of Literally! with Rob Lowe Podcast, where he revealed that he has worked as an entertainment reporter for many years and met many celebrities, but his first meeting with Martin was “the most unpleasant celebrity situation I have ever had.”
For the unweighted Bush’s first time traversed trails with 53-year-old Puerto Rica Singer-Songwriter and actor around the time he dropped his hit song Livin ‘La Vida Loca From his self -taint album from 1999.
He remembered, “I was young and worked out of New York for the first few years on Access Hollywood, East Coast correspondent. I got the invitation to go down and interview Ricky Martin in Miami for his new album and Mariah Carey the Night before.”
The Additional The star added, “I know Barbara Walters had asked him about his ** Uality. I’m like, ‘Wouldn’t it be a big news machine?'”
Bush continued to share that night before the interview, he was at the hotel and asked people what they wanted to know about Martin and to his surprise they would know if he was gay.
When the interview started, he asked Mary Hitmaker on that question, but he quickly took off his microphone and left.
“He gets up and he walks away from the set and I’m sitting there going, ‘oh s ****,'” Bush told.
The Big Hero 6 Star then got phone calls from higher authorities, as he said, “I’m like, ‘OK, I feel really bad.’ I just feel bad because he was legitimately injured and I’m not in the process of hurting people.
However, he ended up reaching the interview room and apologized for Martin for injuring him.
“I’m like, ‘Ricky, I’m so sorry to ask that question.’ “I don’t know what I was thinking.
