- Samsung has talked about future wearables
- Earrings and necklaces could be developed
- Several companies are working on portable AI devices
Samsung has big plans for several wearables: not only in the form of the newly launched Galaxy Watch 8 and the highly expected Galaxy Ring 2, but also in more innovative products such as smart earrings and smart necklaces.
Samsung Mobile Executive Won-Joon Choi, who spoke to CNN (via Android Authority), offered some thoughts about the next wave of portable devices we might see and how these devices could deviate from what we have today.
“We think [these devices] must be portable, something you should not wear, [that] You don’t have to carry, “Choi says.” So it can be something you wear, glasses, earrings, watches, rings and sometimes [a] necklace.”
This is far from confirmation that a Samsung Galaxy Earring or Necklace is on the way, but it is clear that Samsung looks at different types of technology and weighs up what kind of unit form factors may be beneficial to users.
Works and explores
Smart glasses are also mentioned there, and Samsung has been joking to work on a few smart specifications for a very long time now to take on the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses self-empty.
However, see this space: “We are actively working on glasses, but some people do not want to wear glasses because they change their look,” Choi says in the interview. “So we are exploring other types of devices as well.”
A kind of AI treatment will undoubtedly be involved in these future devices. We know that Chatgpt -Developing Openai is busy developing a hardware device that will allow you to carry an AI assistant with you, although several similar previous projects have not worked.
Whatever these devices end up looking, they need long -term batteries and we know it’s something else Samsung is looking at. In the not too distant future, we may have much more portable device types to choose from.
