- A delicious has suggested possible launch dates for iPhone 17
- The fastest could be less than two months away
- IPhone 17 is expected to initiate major design changes
If you have been eagerly waiting for news about when the iPhone 17 series might be launched, a reliably delicious has just stated what they say that the most likely dates for Apple’s new phones will be debuting – and although nothing officially announced, the suggested dates make a lot of sense.
In his latest power on newsletter ($/£), Bloomberg noted Mark Gurman that Apple usually launches new iPhones a week after Labor Day – and since Labor Day falls on September 1 this year, it will make the week that starts September 8th the most likely candidate.
By developing this idea further, Gurman noticed that Apple never plans events for Fridays and has also typically avoided shows that fall on September 11. It leaves Monday, September 8, Tuesday, September 9 and Wednesday 10 September as opportunities.
In the last decade, Apple has held five September events on a Tuesday and four on a Wednesday, making September 9 and 10 September strong opportunities for the iPhone event. Apple hosted a Monday event in 2024, but it’s an outlier in its recent story.
What will we see at the event?
The iPhone 17 is expected to come with a larger visual redesign on the back, with a horizontal camera bar that houses the device’s lenses and sensors, which are jerked by several larger sources and delicious. We could also see new changes on the dynamic island, faster Magsafe charging and a new A19 family of chips.
There are also indications that Apple will add a new device to the iPhone setup, called iPhone 17 Air. This is joined to be the slimmest iPhone in the series and will reportedly replace the iPhone 16 Plus.
Apart from iPhone, we should also see updates to the Apple Watch Program List with Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3, all touted to appear.
With only a few months until Apple’s event is expected to start, it may now be time to mark the week of September 8 in your calendar. We know the date with certainty when Apple sends invitations to the show, but so far this is the closest we have come to a solid release date.
