Islamabad: An Islamabad district and Sessions Court have awarded two-day physical custody by five foreign nationals accused of driving an illegal call center in the G-10 area of the capital.

The suspects were presented to the court of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

According to NCCIA, the call center was recently attacked and proved to host a fraudulent online network, allegedly driven by the five foreign individuals. More than 60 Pakistani nationals were also employed on site.

During the trial, the prosecutor declared that the defendants were part of an organized network involved in online fraud through illegal sites. “Further interrogations of the suspects are necessary,” the prosecutor told the court while seeking their physical custody.

The court accepted the prosecutors and approached the authorities to present the foreign nationals again on July 16.

The NCCIA spokesman confirmed that the suspects were arrested during a RAID in the G-10 and that action would also be taken against those who gave them support and security in Pakistan.
