NFL News: Commanders Star Terry McLaurin ‘rather frustrated’ with contract negotiations

Washington commanders Star Wide recipient Terry McLaurin is not happy with how his contract extension negotiations go with the team.

McLaurin, 29, turned into one of the best seasons of his career last year and was an important part of helping the commanders reach the NFC Championship game.

McLaurin pulled 82 catches in 1,096 yards and had a career high 13 touchdowns. In the playoffs, he continued to produce when he caught 14 passports in 227 yards and had three touchdowns in three playoffs.

McLaurin made the Pro Bowl last season, the other such selection of his career, and now seems to be paid as one of the top broad recipients in the NFL.

McLaurin has one year left of the three -year -old, $ 68 million contract extension, which he signed in June 2022.

The former Ohio State star said he has become “pretty frustrated” with the negotiation process.

“I’ve been pretty frustrated, I don’t want to lie,” McLaurin told journalists on Tuesday. “Everything that has happened until this point has been disappointing and frustrating. I have wanted to continue my career here. I have created my life here. My wife and I bought our first home here, so this is a place where I have always wanted to be.”

Before signing his first contract extension in 2022, McLaurin skipped mandatory mini stamp as he held a better deal. He said he has not decided if he will skip training camp if his frustrations continue.

“I haven’t decided yet,” McLaurin said. “I am trying to take things day by day. I think this is the disappointing part where I hoped up at this time that things would clean up a lot more than they have. I haven’t made that decision yet. I just want to see how the rest of this week is going and taking that day a day and going from there.”

McLaurin emerged as quarterback Jayden Daniels’ best weapon last season, and has been the No. 1 broad recipient on the commanders throughout his six-year career.
