Imran ends the Senate’s ticket list

Peshawar:

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has completed the party’s list of preferred candidates for the upcoming election of the Senate.

According to sources, after a detailed consultation meeting with adviser to Chief Minister of KP on Information Attorney Ali Saif inside Adiala Prison, Imran issued the completed priority list of Senate candidates.

For general seats, the names include Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Mirza Afridi and Pir Noorul Haq Qadri. For the technocrat seat, Azam Swati is completed, while Rubina Naz will compete for the women’s reserved seat.

In a surprising feature, Monhal Yousafzai has been nominated instead of Sania Nishtar, who had previously the seat.

In a speech with the media after the prison meeting, Barrister Saif revealed that Imran was “deeply disturbed” over a lack of basic facilities and violation of human rights in prison.

“Imran Khan is exposed to mental pain. He is in lonely inclusion without access to TV, newspapers, books and even clothes,” he claimed. “He is also denied visiting rights, which have left him completely unaware of the outside world, he said.
