Lewis Capaldi just noticed his Glastonbury 2023 performance as “Blessing in disguise.”
The 28-year-old talked about his show, which he was unable to complete because of uncontrollable tics, he suffered on stage because of Tourette’s syndrome and told youtuber Theo von that he promised himself that the set would be “The last time I have to play a concert for a long time.”
“When I got off the stage, everyone else around me was a bit like,” Oh, this is the worst ever, “and I had this weird kind (like) a weight had been lifted, like” oh, now this thing has happened and I have to get help, “Lewis said.
He continued, “I had postponed it because we fun enough, a few weeks before that show last minute played in Chicago, and I had a very similar episode (which) was probably even worse … I couldn’t get back on stage and end the song.
“I was like backstage, cramping and had this crazy panic attack, mental episode, I was really, really bad, much worse than what happened to Glastonbury because Glastonbury is such a big scene and a big moment,” The artist who recently released his song, Survivementioned.
“In a strange way, it’s probably the best thing that happened to me in that moment at Glastonbury in 2023 because I wouldn’t have stopped otherwise,” Lewis explained.
He also said, “I was really bad not to say no to things, the feeling that this will pass me if I don’t say yes to all these amazing things that come to me and I have to catch it all and kind of get it all done.”
“I fear thinking about what would have happened to me otherwise, so it was a bit of a blessing in disguise,” Someone you loved Hitmaker admitted.
This comes after Lewis Capaldi returned his victorious to Glastonbury 2025 after a two -year break from music and even released his song, survived, topping the British single diagram.
