“There’s no discussion about this weekend yet,” White said. “Imaging was performed, and of course we pronounce her tonight, but there has been no discussion beyond tonight.”

Clark sustained a groin injury late in the fourth quarter of Indiana’s victory over Connecticut Sun In Boston Tuesday night. White said she didn’t think it was a “Reinjury.” Clark missed time in May due to a quad injury and was recently sidelined in five matches with a left groin.

“I’m not really sure it’s a reinjury as much as another kind of injury. I often know when you work with injuries in the groin and quad and hamstring and all these things that are just – they are all kinds tied together and that’s not always one thing.”

White added that a “slow” approach to getting Clark back on the field has always been a priority for both the team’s success and Clark “in the long term.”

“The big picture is the most important thing – for her health and wellness, in the long term and for our team. And we have been very slow to make sure that every time she comes back, she is clear. So we continue to approach it so. I mean, the long term is the most important thing.”
