John Sperring, 12, is a make-a-wish receiver and his desire was to meet CJ Stroud.
Sperring lives in Dallas, but after seeing NRG Stadium from his hospital room he became Houston Texans fan.
Spering was born with hypoplastic heft heart syndrome (HLHS), where the left side of his heart is not developed and does not pump blood into the body. He underwent an emergency operation.

The 12 -year -old was shown on ESPN’s “My Wish” series, and when asked what he was his strong, he said he “prayed to God that he would heal me quickly and I can come back.”
In the midst of his Texan’s fandom, spering said Stroud has become his favorite player.
“He is a very humble player and always puts God first in his interviews,” Sperring said.
Spering spent the day with Stroud and his Texan’s teammates during their media day. He also signed a one-day contract to officially join the Texans and also caught the practice and even broke the team together.
Stroud asked how Dallas Kid became Texans fan.
“From my hospital I could see NRG [Stadium]And you are a great Christian, ”said Sperring.
Stroud later gave him a signed jersey with biblics “that made me think of you” -pslams 34: 15-18, Philippians 4: 6-7 and Jeremiah 29:11.
“To John! Go Texans !! Pray for your friend!” Stroud wrote on the shirt.

The two then shared a hug and Stroud couldn’t help hide his feelings anymore.
“You make me cry, bridge,” he said. “You’ve already made me tear up earlier … 12 years old, you love Jesus. I love it, man. Keep the child -like belief.”
“You make me want to play harder,” Stroud Sperring said after practice.
Stroud has continuously become obvious about his faith – when asked about his goal for 2025, when this last season ended, he found his relationship with God.

“Lock it back with the Lord. Kinda in the lukewarm season – a foot in, one foot out. The Lord has helped me get out of it,” he said at the time. “So it’s really my 2025 goal is to be locked in with the Lord as much as possible. You know, fast and pray, be part of a church here in Houston. It is my goal from 2025 that is closer to the Lord.”
