NBA Summer League Breakout Star Collapses After sustaining a Daunting Damage

Darius Bazley put together a series of remarkable performances with Los Angeles Lakers at NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

But the 25-year-old Forward’s race took a sudden turn on Thursday.

Bazley collapsed on the hardwood after he drove to the basket under Lakers’ Matchup with Boston Celtics.

Bazley remained on the floor a few moments in noticeable discomfort. Team coach examined Bazley before eventually leaving the court with the help of a wheelchair. Celtics won the game.

Bazley was drafted by Utah Jazz, but started his NBA career with Oklahoma City Thunder. Recently, Bazley performed in six games with the jazz in the 2023-24 season.

Bazley has had a breakout -summer, an average of 11.2 points and 8.4 rebounds over the five matches he has performed at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Lakers are scheduled to play Denver Nuggets Friday night. Los Angeles enters the game with a 1-3 record.
