Lahore:
Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) is very aware of responding to any inappropriate situation during the ongoing monsoon and flood emergency, emergency secretary said Dr. Rizwan Naseer while addressing a press of briefing.
He said that Rescue 1122’s flooding response units, including over 100 boats, 312 trained rescuers, OBM motors and emergency equipment, have been deployed in vulnerable and low-lying areas throughout the province.
Dr. Naseer urged citizens to monitor roof terraces and surroundings during rainfall to avoid loss of life or property due to water accumulation.
He said that 1,594 people have been saved during the current rain form.
