Jon Stewart is known for his hosting and as a political satirist, but Marc Maron, another host, was not a fan of him.
IN NPR Series Wild Card with Rachel Martin, he opened to make his colleague on Comedy Central An “nemesis” in his mind because that was what motivated him.
“I always have a nemesis … as most of it is driven by resentment, uncertainty, jealousy or whatever,” he shared.
“It’s habit, and it’s the endless kind you know, fighting against acting out of uncertainty … or resentment, self -acceptance,” the actor who briefly hosted Short attention span theater, As Jon once helped.
He shared the success of the daily show host who made him jealous. “I always thought it was just because he committed to a haircut and … a way of presenting. But like, he was just everywhere.”
“And he was a standup, but … he was everywhere … he was the king of the thing … Politics, satire, no matter what.”
Because of this, Marc said they “are not friends” and added that Jon “doesn’t particularly like” him, and Wtf with Marc Maron The host took responsibility for this. “It was anger. It was me that was kind of … the little mind.”
