AJ Styles returned to a total nonstop action (TNA) wrestling ring for the first time since December 2013 Sunday night during Slammersary Pay-Per-View.
Styles came out to its best known entry music. As soon as “Get Ready to Fly” was heard in UBS Arena, the fans blew on Long Island, New York, almost the lid from the scene. Styles took the moment and approached the crowd.

“It’s been a long way. Here I am in this ring in this company where my name was built. I am the phenomenal AJ style,” he told the roaring audience. “There was a time when they said you may not be able to return. But here I am, and I tell you that the lights are a little brighter here, the amount is a little higher here, and Leon (Slater), the talent is better than it has ever been.”
Styles transferred slater who had just defeated Moose to win the X-Division Championship and become the youngest X-Division title holder in TNA’s history.
“The phenomenal one” is considered the greatest TNA-wrestler over time. He was a six-time X-Division champion and won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice. He was also a three-time National Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion when the company was in line with TNA. He joined WWE in 2014.
It was far from the only highlight at night.
WWE NXT WOMAN JACY JAYNE GOING HEAD-TOH HEAD AGAINST TNA KNOCKOUTS MASTER MASHA SLAMOVICH IN A WINNER-TAKE-ALL match.
Jayne proved that it was her world and everyone else lived it. She spiked Slamovich with the rolling encore and attached her to the victory. It was one of the best matches of the night and Jayne comes to Waltz in NXT on Tuesday night as a double master.
Jeff and Matt Hardy, the legendary tag team known as Hardys, challenged to TNA Tag Team Championship in a four-way ladder match. Nic and Ryan Nemeth defended their tiles, with AJ Francis and KC Navarro and Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz into the crisis.
Jeff Hardy showed that he still has some high -flying tricks up his sleeve. He hit the two Swanton dives on Reed and Wentz and then fell a swing-rope ladder into the match.
Hardy’s averted Nemeths in the ring, and Jeff climbed the ladder to get the titles.

At the end of the match, the TNA Hall of Famer Bully Ray came out to tackle Hardys. Bully Ray, half of Team 3D with D’Von Dudley, challenged Hardys for a final match at Bound for Glory in October. The three men shook their hands in the ring and it seemed that the fight was on.
In the main event, WWE NXT star Trick Williams TNA put the World Cup on the line against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry. It looked like it was going to be Santana’s evening. He came out through the crowd with a wealth of fans behind him.
The master went out to the Gospel ensemble and sang his entry music. It had a great feeling of fighting.
Mot the end of the match was William’s nowhere to be found. It looked like he was injured when TNA medical staff attended him for the last five minutes or so. Santana got his hands on Hendry and hit him with the spin block. He tried to go after the pin.

In the last second, Williams rushed back into the ring and threw him out of it. He attached Hendry to pick up the victory and keep the title.
Slammersary set the record for the most visited American event over time when 7,623 people showed up for the event.
