Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan open up to their ties that made Freakier Friday an opportunity, and now a reality. They also teased another successor.
Jamie and Lindsay played a lovely mother-daughter-duo in the 2003 movie Freaky Friday. Over the past two decades, fan requirements for a successor never died.
The stars, however, waited for The parent trap Actress to be old enough to play a teen -mother in the sequel.
“Well, Lindsay and I have been in each other’s lives since we made that movie. It is first and foremost,” Jamie shared in a cover story to People.
The Halloween Star then shared that she was asked about a Freaky Friday Successor in the entire promotional tour of Halloween -endS in 2022.
“And everyone I’ve ever spoken to have asked, ‘Will there be a Freaky Friday sequel?’ When I walked around the world for Halloween ending in 2022, they asked each stop.
“So then Lindsay obviously had this beautiful baby. She came and visited me, brought the baby. In this moment we really started talking about it,” she shared.
The duo then became honest about their confidence in each other.
“Jamie was with me at a time in my life when I went through very publicly,” Lohan said. “She was private really there for me. I can trust her.”
Jamie repeated her words and said, “I know I can trust her. I can’t say that about a lot of people. I know if I tell her something it will be with her. We’ve both been through hard things because we’re alive and life is tough. And we haven’t died yet …”
For Lindsay, feeling safe about people is more than trust, and “Jamie is one of these people for me,” she shared.
“Like, I feel very safe with you. I feel sure to tell you things. So it is – I know you said trust, but for me it is certain,” she told Jamie.
Finally, Jamie Lindsay asked another successor and said, “Then Lindsay Lohan, 20 years from now, Freakiest Friday? You in? “
Lindsay Lohan replied, “I’m inside.”
