Colorado’s Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) team made a surprising gesture.
National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) awarded an expansion team to Denver. When the new team searched for its name, colors and crest, the Colorado summit decided to “pass the torch.” Over 50,000 fans were investigated during the search. The summit turned out to be the most popular name among followers.
Henden paved the way for NWSL to become the Denver summit FC. The new football club’s opening season is scheduled to start in 2026.

The football team’s comb appears to be dark green mountains placed in front of a red-orange and golden sunset. The summit said the reddish-orange color was chosen because it was intended to “catch the dramatic sunsets seen over Colorado.”
Colorado Summit co-owner Sal Pace highlighted the collaborative nature of the decision and expressed enthusiasm for the next chapter of the French franchise.

“This is more than a handover – it’s a collaboration built on respect, teamwork and growing our Colorado Sports Community for everyone,” Pace said. “It’s a huge honor to see the Name of Summit Live on in professional women’s football, and we are happy to take our fans with us into a new era for Colorado Ultimate Frisbee.”

The Colorado summit released a statement that called the decision a “rare” moment “about sportsmanship.”
“The partnership represents a rare and refreshing show of sportsmanship in Colorado Sports World-World-World-World-World Coat in Ultimate Frisbee enthusiastically supports the emergence of Denver’s new professional woman’s football team’s most popular sport,” the statement reads.

The Frisbee team needs a new name in the future. In light of this fact, the franchise launched a competition seeking fan -feedback.
Over the next few weeks, fans have the opportunity to submit suggestions and also vote for names. Finalists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The winning name is set to be revealed before next season starts, the team confirmed.
