Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix agreement will be scrapped this year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who signed a huge £ 100m deal with the streaming giant to produce content, has disappointed their bosses.
A source said: “The deal is completed; no more shows will be made.
“Netflix feels they have everything they can from the couple.
“Netflix was wise that they got a hell of a lot of viewers for the first documentary series, and really knew it would prove Zenith of content from the Montecito pair.
The source added: “They are not dissatisfied with how things showed up to get the initial hits and produced one of the most talked about shows of all time.
“The content became weaker from there, but frankly for £ 20million a year everything was better than nothing,” they noted.
“There is no animosity from both sides.
Things have just run their course. Netflix Execs are well aware, Meghan’s priority now is her own brand and they won’t play other violin for it, ”the insider added.
