PM repeats speech offers to India

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said Pakistan was ready for a meaningful dialogue with India on all outstanding issues.

The Prime Minister declared this during his meeting with the British High Commissioner of Pakistan Jane Marriott, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation of Britain’s role in the shell of tensions under the stand-off Pakistan India.

He greeted the British government’s recent decision to resume PIA aircraft to and from Britain, as he said, would go far in relieving the difficulties facing British Pakistani and improving people-to-pill exchanges.

In particular, he appreciated the role of the High Commissioner in this regard.

The regional situation in South Asia and the Middle East was also discussed.

The British High Commissioner thanked the Prime Minister for receiving her and informing him about her recent visit to London, where she had extensive consultations on improving Pakistan-Uk bilateral ties.

She paid tribute to the government’s financial results in the last year and a half under the prime minister’s vision and leadership, which had led to a significant improvement in all central macroeconomic indicators.

She also shared with the Prime Minister, Britain’s perspective on regional development in South Asia and the Middle East.

Privatization Commission

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday ordered the authorities to ensure that the Privatization Commission would gain full autonomy under the law to eliminate bureaucracy and unnecessary elements during the denationalization process of the state -owned companies (SOEs).

The Prime Minister was chairman of a review meeting on progress in privatization of SOEs here at the Prime Minister’s office, says a prime minister’s news release.
