Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese is approaching suspension with 7 technical errors

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is a technical error away from a WNBA suspension.

With seven technical violations in just her first 22 games of the season already, an eighth would put Reese past the threshold of a one-game pension per day. WNBA rules.

Reese picked up his seventh technical in the season on Tuesday night in the first quarter of a blowout loss to Lynx. Reese seemed to pick up the technical after being assessed a common error due to an off-camera interaction with judges.

Reese is currently leading all WNBA players in technical violations this season by seven, according to across the timeline. Washinton Mystics -player Shakira Austin is in second place with five.

Reese got her first technical mistake of the season of the season opener against Indiana Fever and her long -time rival Caitlin Clark. The foul happened after Reese grabbed an offensive rebound, and Clark let Reese’s arm got hard enough to jar the ball loose and knock Reese on the floor.

When Reese got up, she tried to confront Clark before Indianas Aliyah Boston stepped in between the two players. Clark’s third personal error was upgraded to a flagant 1, while Boston and Reese each drew technical errors after a repetition review of the judges.

Reese has not been exposed to Clark since this game as Clark has missed more games due to injury this season.

Reese then recorded technical mistakes against New York Liberty on May 22, Dallas Wings on May 31, Connecticut Sun on June 15, Los Angeles sparks on June 29 and mystics on July 8.

Last season, Reese got only four technical errors, with one coming against Clark. Meanwhile, Clark came a technically vicious of suspension last season and got seven up. However, Clark’s seventh technical mistake came in the last month of the season, while Reese is already seven in July.

If Reese is assessed an eight technically and is suspended, she loses her game check for that game. Reese has already been the vocals of not being paid enough without having to lose a game check.

Reese recently drew attention to herself on the WNBA All-Star game as she spoke against WNBA for her handling of recent negotiations with the player’s union, WNBPA, over a new collective negotiation agreement.
