Paige Spiranac has gone toe to toe with critics on social media about everything from her golf swing to the way she markets, to the way she dresses in the field.
She is not one for backing.

In an interview with the People magazine, Spiranac fired back against critics who want her to dress in a certain way when she plays the game.
“I’m just trying to embrace who I am when I talk about it,” she told the business. “My main message is always to do what you want to do, carry what you want to wear. And for me it is to carry things that are a little more sexy, more shaped, but also just find your own individual style.”
Spiranac was a top golfer for San Diego State when she played in the Mountain West conference. Instead of turning pro, she took a different route and has become one of the best -followed sports personalities on social media.
She explained to Sports Illustrated a couple of years ago that she was a gymnast when she was younger, and most of what she was wearing was formed. When she decided to try her hand on golf, she explained that she did not have the luxury of buying golf ants so she wore workout clothes.

“And then I started carrying tanks tops and leggings, and it just caused such a riot of just people who are not upset over no collar and what I was wearing and respected the game and also just expose my body,” Spiranac told People.

“And I’m like, I’m an athlete and I like what I wear. I feel very comfortable with what I wear. And too, I don’t want young girls to grow up to feel insecure on their bodies, or everyone tells them, no, they have to cover. They have to be proud of their body, especially with how much hard work they put in it when they eat right and work out.”
In July 2023, she shouted “hypocrisy” of comments in a video showing two half -naked baseball players on the haug. She noticed that the players did not get negative comments on what they did.
“Interesting how different the reaction is online when men choose to show their bodies,” she wrote on X at the time. “Not a comment on this video that calls them attention hears or sluts. Just a ton of women saying baseball is now their favorite sport, but the same women judge me hard. The hypocritical lol.”
