Islamabad:
The Foreign Office confirmed its attitude that any misunderstanding from India would be met with a “robust attitude” from Pakistan, emphasizing the country’s confidence in its defense functions.
“With regard to any misadventure from India, our attitude remains very robust. We are sure of our defense and we hope India sees reason. But if an attack or aggression against Pakistan arises, we are ready to defend ourselves,” spokesman for the Foreign Office Shafqat Ali Khan said during a weekly media income on Thursday.
He emphasized that Pakistan is prepared to respond to any aggression from India, pointing to the recent demonstration of military capacity in Marka-E-Haq, and hope that India would recognize the futility of its aggressive attitude that warned that such hegemonic impulses would not lead anywhere.
“We are sure of our capabilities and we have shown this in the recent Marka-E-Haq, which should be clear to everyone. The bottom line is that we remain clear and we hope that India will see that Bellicosity and hegemonic impulses will not lead it anywhere,” Khan said.
He repeats Pakistan’s invitation to India to dialogue, he said, “So we hope that reason prevails and they can see that the route of diplomacy can lead to win-win situation between the two countries. However, he emphasized that the decision to participate in conversations rests with India.
