An army major and a Sepoy were martyrated during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Mastung district, the military’s media wing said on Thursday, while two law enforcement staff also embraced martyrdom in separate terrorist attacks in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a news announcement that 31-year-old brave officer Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal, who came from the Khushab district, fought gallant while led his troops from the front and embraced Shahadat with Sepoy Nazam Hussain, 22, who paid tribute to the Jhelum District.
According to ISPR, security forces killed three terrorists belonging to the Indian Proxy Fitna Al Hindustan under IBO in Mastung. “During the performance of Operation, his own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and resulted resulting in three terrorists to hell,” the news message states.
“During the intense fire exchange, Major Zeeyad Salim Awal (Age: 31 years old, resident of the Khushab district), a brave officer who led his troops from the front, fought gallant, paid the ultimate victim and embraced Shahadat with another brave son of earth Sepey Nazam Hussain (Age: Jhelum), “It added.
“Sanitization operation is carried out to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area as the security forces in Pakistan are determined to wipe out the threat of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and such victims of our brave men further strengthen our determination.”
In KP, Tall Scouts Lance Naik Zafar, resident of Kamar Dhand Village of Kohat district, was martyrated in a sniper attack, while an FC Jawan was martyrated and two wounded in a terrorist attack on their vehicle in the Bannu district.
Sources said a terrorist was wounded in the retirement fire from police taken away by his colleagues. Police also recovered a gun and magazine when they started a search operation in the area.
Meanwhile, President Asif Zardari praised the security forces for removing three terrorists in an IBO against Fitna-Tul-Hindustan in Mastung. Zardari paid tribute to Major Zeeyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain, who were martyrated in the operation and greeted them for their victim.
“Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal Shaheed and Sepoy Nazam Hussain Shaheed set a new example of the courage by sacrificing their lives in defense of the motherland, Zardari said. He expressed his heartfelt sympathy with the martyrs’ families and asked for the elevation of the martyrs.
The president said the victims of the security forces would not go in vain. “The nation will always remember the victims of its martyrs,” he said. “The operation will continue until Indian sponsored terrorism is eradicated. The nation stands by its forces of removing terrorism.”
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to greater Zeeyyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain and expressed his inner compassion for the deprived families and praised the fallen soldiers for their unwavering courage and selfless affection with duty.
“Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain showed unique bravery in the duty of duty and managed to remove three terrorists before making the ultimate victim,” the Minister of the Interior said in a statement.
Naqvi emphasized that the two soldiers set their lives for the country’s security and sovereignty and received the highest honor in the form of martyrdom. “Their victim will never be forgotten. Shaheed -Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain will live forever in our hearts.”
The Minister noted that the nation owed its peace and stability to the blood of its martyrs. “The whole country is proud of the top victims made by our brave sons. They have written a new chapter of heroism in the fight against terrorism,” he added.
Naqvi repeated the government’s regular decision to continue the war on terrorism until the last terrorist was removed. He assured the families of the martyrs that the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with them in their sorrow time.
