Earlier this week, Balochistan police arrested 14 suspects of ‘honor killings’ of a couple accused of having an affair, including a local tribal just who allegedly ordered their deaths, officials said Monday.

The killers that took place last month received widespread attention after a video appeared showing the couple was shot. The man who killed the woman was her brother who appeared on behalf of the family and the tribe, said provincial police chief Moazzam Jah Ansari Reuters.

The chief of the tribes, Sher Baz Satakzai, had ordered the killing, he added. Satakzai was among those arrested, according to Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, who approached the media at a news conference in Quetta, the provincial capital. “We want to make sure they will all be prosecuted,” Bugti said.
