Three coal miners lost their lives after inhaling toxic gas in a coal mine in Orakzai on Saturday.
According to my Inspector Engineer Arshad Ali, one of the mines had been closed for a year. But when the mine led it with two workers, they couldn’t return.
“According to the standard operating procedures (SOP) set to mines, no one is allowed to go in until they are discharged carboniltyreas. But they went in and ignored SOPs; thus they lost their lives,” he said.
The deceased was identified as Sher Zaman, Rahimullah and Aslam.
