Fortnite Running the Super Showdown event later this week (August 2nd) and so far we know it will involve Superman in a big way. This is the latest in a series of live events that have aired in Fortnite this year, and I expect it to lead nicely into Season 4.
What is new in Fortnite?
Epic Games just launched the Collab for the Fantastic Four: The First Steps, with film -inspired skins available as rewards as part of a new tournament. Soon we see a brand new season of FortniteLaunching Chapter 6 Season 4 for players to dive into. At present, we don’t have much info on what to expect, even if we get news as the launch day approaches.
We are currently in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, A Superhero-Thema Affair that adds super-run items and a brand new ranking system. However, the next season of Fortnite is just around the corner, so the game actually gets a big update very soon. It is regular updates like these that have held Fortnite Fixed ranked in our best free games to play on the 2025 list.
Here’s what you need to know about Fortnite Super showdown, including the start time, and how to see it on the day. It’s a live history event and it’s destined to be a Superman-led fight against a giant enemy. Let’s dive in.

Fortnite Super Showdown – How to See it Live
Fortnite Super Showdown is a live event that begins at the times specified earlier in this article. If you want to watch it live, you can jump in yourself and there is likely to be a safe zone around Demon’s domain where players can’t eliminate each other.
If you can’t log in to yourself, Techradar Gaming will cover the event as part of a live blog (which we recently did with Fortnite and Rocket -launch). I give my impressions as they happen, and give up -to -date information on how the event is unfolding. You can also participate in your Twitch or YouTube streamer that is selected as there will undoubtedly be many streaming of the event. Note that Epic Games does not emit these events live on its official channels.

The Fortnite X Channel tweeted a teaser trailer for the upcoming super showdown event (embedded above). In that we see the eye of a gigantic being that many believe is a crack. Then the current map with Demon’s domain is displayed as the most important place of the event.
Fortnite Super ShowDown Story Event – What to expect
Fortnite Super Showdown will include a gigantic match between Superman and a not yet exposed enemy. We know it’s a huge enemy with a big white eye, and many fans predict it to be a crack. Apart from that, we know that it all takes place in Demon’s domain and is likely to give some tussels about what’s coming next in Chapter 6.
Epic games are likely to reveal more closer to the launch and once it is done I will be sure to update this page.
