Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support to Palestine’s right to an independent state and emphasized the importance of borders before 1967.
Dar, who spoke at the United Nations international conference on “the peaceful settlement of the issue of Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution” in New York, highlighted his country’s long-standing attitude to the Palestinian question.
“For over 75 years, the Palestinian people have endured occupation, displacement and denial of their fundamental rights,” Dar said, addressing the total diplomats and officials.

The Foreign Minister condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza, especially the death of over 58,000 Palestinians, and called it “an unconscious breach of international humanitarian law.” He said the situation violates the United Nations decisions and the binding decisions of the international court.
DAR called for an “unconditional, immediate and permanent truce” over Gaza and all Palestinian occupied territories, emphasizing the importance of protecting civilians and complying with international laws.
In addition, DAR called for “full and unobstructed humanitarian access”, especially the delivery of life -saving food and medicine to Gaza. He also highlighted the need for the protection of humanitarian teams that worked on Earth.
