- A new leak suggests ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally Launches August 20th
- This is the same date as it will be available on Gamescom 2025 on the Xbox Stand
- ONE Hollow Knight: Silksong Demo will also be available on Gamescom 2025 …
Microsoft and Asus’ ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally handhelds were announced earlier in June with an expected launch date for the end of 2025. However, it may not be as accurate as originally expected.
According to reliably delicious Billbil-Kun via dealabs, both ROG Xbox Ally models will be launched on August 20, with pre-orders going live during Gamescom 2025. The new leak also confirms the previous price rumors; ROG Xbox Ally X will reportedly be priced at $ 899 and ROG Xbox Ally for $ 599. Pricing in other regions may vary due to factors such as inflation and customs.
It is worth noting that Microsoft will be present at Gamescom in August, with practical options for fans at the Xbox booth, so it matches well with the leak suggesting a 20th August launch date. The long expected Hollow Knight: Silksong Will also be available to test at the popular big game show.
If this leakage is legitimate it can mean that Silk song Also launched on August 20 when Xbox President Sarah Bond previously confirmed that the title will be available at Game Pass at the launch of the new handhelds. Essentially it can act as a shadow fall that Microsoft has done before with The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion RemasteredAnd August may be the month looking forward to Xbox and PC fans.
Although we still have to wait for Microsoft’s full confirmation, it looks like ROG Xbox Ally Handhelds will compete with the MSI Claw A8, which has also been rumored to be launched in August – and Microsoft and Asus may have the edge of this match with a cheaper option.
Analysis: ROG Xbox Ally X’s Price is a huge dealbreaker but at least there is a cheaper alternative
I have been very critical of handheld games -PC producers recently due to the huge leap in pricing for new devices, and we can see the same thing happening here with ROG Xbox Ally X. However, I am glad to see that there is a cheap alternative -which is an aspect that some Mainström’s hand -claims like MSI are overwhelming.
After watching the over -the -over performance jump from AMDS Ryzen Z1 Extreme to Ryzen Z2 Extreme, I don’t think I could recommend ROG Xbox Ally X for $ 899. While using a slightly different Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, I don’t expect it to be different from its standard version, at least when it comes to gaming performance.
As I said in my previous piece, I’m not happy to see prices almost reaching $ 1,000 for handheld games -PCs, but players are not necessarily priced here, with Ryzen Z2 A ROG Xbox Ally model for $ 599.
Let’s just hope that there is enough accessibility and prices do not sprout suddenly out of control.
