- Skechers have a new range of sneakers to help parents keep track of their child
- Find my Skechers shoes have a hidden slot for an Apple Airtag
- It allows you to find your child using Apple Find my app
Many parents want to keep track of their children’s whereabouts, especially if they visit an unknown location, but it is not always an easy thing to do. Now a new series of Sneakers from Skechers offers a new solution: Each pair contains a hidden room designed to house an Apple Airtag tracker.
This is not the first time we have seen Airtags hidden in a set of footwear, but the difference here is that Find My Skechers line is designed specifically for kids. Each pair comes with a small cut in the heel made to store an air flavor – to access it, you just lift the insole and the tape lining under it. This reveals a screw-shut airtag holder that hides the tracker and Skechers says your child will not feel it while wearing your shoes.
When Airtag is in place, you can track its location using Apple Find my app. The idea is that the hidden space will protect the air taste without disturbing its wireless capabilities.
Finding my Skechers sneakers are available in a variety of sizes and designs. They are also machine washing, although we would recommend removing Airtag before throwing these shoes in with your laundry.
Better protection
Knowing your child’s location is obviously an important concern for many parents, and there are devices that let you cut an air taste or other tracker to your child before leaving the house. But there is always the possibility that these products may be damaged or manipulated by the child.
Skechers’ new sneakers could avoid it by burying Airag in the shoe itself, making it harder for the child to get to and offer better protection against the elements. They also lack any branding that suggests that there is an air roof inside them, which allows the wearer to interfere and avoid gaze of people who may be targeted at them based on the Airag connection.
But the question remains about whether to find my skechers is a good idea. From a quick study of Techradar writers raising their own children, the point was made that toddlers and young children are likely to grow out of these shoes quickly. To $ 52 to $ 58 per Pop is a cost that is quickly added when you need to buy new ones every six months.
In addition, children at the older end of the target market can still have their own phones, which can be used to track their location. This means that there are questions about how necessary Skechers -Sneakers are, at least for some parents.
Find my Skechers Start at $ 52 per day. Couples, and are available to both toddlers and young children. We will have to see how effective they are, but they are likely to turn parents’ heads in some way.
