WWE Summerslam Night 1: What to know

Summerslam is ready to take over the New York and New Jersey area on Saturday and Sunday in the first two-night event in the WWE show’s history.

The Premium Live event is set to take place at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford and the first night as a card with three championships up to grabs, a country music star in action and in-ring return of Roman Reigns.

Gunther (c) vs. Cm punk for the World Heavyweight Championship

CM PUNK has declared himself the “best in the world” when it comes to Pro Wrestling. But since his return to WWE, injuries, Uflaks and Seth Rollins have kept him from the ultimate goal of winning the World Cup in Tongue. Punk won the title shot after winning a Gauntlet fight on “Monday Night Raw.”

Gunther has held the championship since he won it back from Jey Uso months after his wrestlemania 41 defeat. He defeated Goldberg during their Saturday evening’s main event struggle and now has the challenge of walking up to Punk, who may be his most formidable opponent in a long time.

It will certainly be a fight for Wills when these two enter the ring of the main event.

While no one has heard from Rollins since he was injured weeks ago against La Knight, one has to wonder if he is lurking in the background and making sure punk doesn’t get his hands on gold.

Tiffany Stratton (C) Against Jade Cargill to WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

Tiffany Stratton has resisted every test she faces so far. She sent Charlotte Flair on Wrestlemania 41, Nia Jax in a last woman who stood battle and then Trish Stratus at Evolution. She has been on fire, but she wants her biggest test yet in Jade Cargill.

Cargill won the Queen of the Ring Tournament and chose to squares towards Stratton. It will be her first shot on a single title. Cargill put her feud with naomi behind her and defeated her in a no -team’s blocked battle by evolution.

Stratton and Cargill are two of the top women on the smackdown -watch list, and either are either more than suitable to hold the belt at the end of the night.

Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs. Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul

Jelly Roll was in Randy Orton’s corner when “Legend Killer” was facing Drew McIntyre on Saturday evening’s main event. He got involved in the fight, distracted McIntyre and let Orton capitalize. When Paul put Beatdown on Orton, Jelly entered and knocked Paul on his back. McIntyre, out of nowhere, hit jelly with a Claymore.

It was the bending point of a feud between the two duos, and it culminated with a SummerSlam match. Jelly Roll even showed that he has a black hollow sludge in his arsenal. WWE fans We see if the country music artist could give some downfall and gloom to McIntyre and Paul.

Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (C) Against Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss to WWE WOMEN’S TAKE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The unusual pairing of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss has hit it big with the WWE audience. Flair saved bliss from a spear at Evolution, and Bliss saved Flair from an attack by Raquel Rodriguez during a “Friday Night Smackdown” episode.

Are those friends? No, not yet. But the two have earned a shot on the roof titles and could end up with Tag Team Champions at the end of the night.

But Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez have no interest in giving up the titles. Rodriguez held the belt with Liv Morgan, but Perez stepped in when Morgan went down with an injury. The two defended it the titles of Evolution and now have a chance to really put their names on the division with a victory over veterans in Bliss and Flair.

Alexa Bliss Talks Tag-Team Title Pursuit with Charlotte Flair on SummerSlam

Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross has been on the tail of Sami Zayn for months, and the rivalry comes to the head the first night of SummerSlam. Zayn got better from Kross at night by masters back in June, and Kross defeated Zayn a few weeks ago.

Kross has told Zayn that he will never be a world champion, while Zayn has tried to focus on his persecution of a title and put Kross behind him. So far, to no benefit as Kross’ Beatdown’s Zayn prevented from participating in the championship Gauntlet, which Punk won.

If Kross wins, Zayn has to tell him he was right. If Zayn wins, Kross must say he was wrong of Zayn.

Roman Reigns & Jey Uso vs. Bron Breaks & Bronson Reed

It’s been a while since Roman Reigns competed in a match. Last time fans saw him, Paul Heyman gave him a low blow, which allowed Rollins to win the triple threat match that included punk on Wrestlemania 41.

Reigns came back to help Jey Uso from a Bronson Reed and Bron Breaker Beatdown. It set out to what is going to come on the SummerSlam-a gigantic roof-team match.

Reed and breaks got the last laughter on “Monday Night Raw.” Reed put USO down for the count, and breaks speared reigns through a barricade. Reed then stole Reigns’ shoes.

It will be a whole brawl when these four enter the ring.
