With a new and enhanced Bullpen, New York held Yankes 6-0 and 9-4 wires in the fifth and seventh laps. They didn’t win.
In fact, all three of their brand new relievers and another parlor pulled the worst side of the MLB story in a heartbreaking 13-12 loss to Miami Marlins.

Yanks chose the long-time veteran Jonathan Loaisiga, but his battles continued, and it wound up being a four-race fifth for the fish.
Trent Grisham blasted a huge three-run Homer at the top of the seventh to bring the bombers up again, and Yankees decided to show the new guys. It couldn’t have been much worse.
First was Jake Bird, who only recorded one out before allowing a grand slam. Next, David Bednar, who came into the game with a 2.39 era. Of course, he allowed two races on four consecutive hits, including a Homer, and Marlins suddenly had a 10-9 lead.

Xavier Edwards appointed right to bring a run in, but the ball went just below the glove by Jose Caballero, who practically changed Dugouts on Thursday and brought binding races home all the way from first and Edwards on the third.

This came only two days after Yankees became the only MLB team in modern times that deleted deficits in eighth, ninth and 10th round and then wins in the 11th.
