MLB NEWS: Phillies’ Bryce Harper pushed out after fiercely disagreeing with calls

Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper was thrown out after he disagreed with a check-swing call in the third round of the team’s 5-4 win over Detroit Tigers Friday night at Citizens Bank Park.

Harper was up, with runners on the second and third base at the bottom of the seventh lap and the game tied 3-3. The count was drunk and Harper tried to check his turn as Tigers’ light scene will West’s Breaking Ball was in dirt.

Third Base Judge Vic Carapazza called Harper out on the check swing and Harper was annoying. He immediately took off his helmet and began waving his arms in disgust.

“Can’t be thrown out in this situation, especially with the ninth lap that may be coming around and my bats are coming up,” he added.

After Harper’s draft at the bottom of the seventh lap, Tigers Right Fielder Wenceel Perez hit a solo home driving to set them up 4-3.

However, Phillies responded at the bottom of the eighth round with two races. Left Fielder Otto Kemp doubled to score right Fielder Nick Castellanos to tie the game at 4-4.
