Dave Franco recently admitted that he never imagined his short appearance in The study would serve him an emmy nik.
In a talk with PEOPLE The magazine with his wife, Allison Brie, the 40-year-old American actor and filmmaker talked about his Emmy nomination and revealed that he could not “believe” that he had been nominated for his performance as a supportive actor in the Apple TV+ series The study.
Franco, who also directed the show, admitted he thought he would “destroy” the show with his como.
The 21 Jump Street Star continued to remind you of the moment he discovered his Emmy nomination for best guest actor in a comedy series.
He said jokingly, “I always saw it coming,” and added further, “No, it’s insane.”
“And the truth about it all is that I really didn’t think this nomination even was an option. I can remember when they first sent me all the episodes [of the show after filming]I started to look through it and I was like, ‘oh no. This is my favorite show and I am coming in and ruining it, ‘”Franco explained.
“[Allison and I] Also didn’t know when the nominations were announced and that’s why we were in our kitchen and I got a text from my publicist and it just said ‘Emmy nomination.’ And I’m going, ‘oh my god. […] I think I was just nominated for an Emmy, ‘” The rent Actor remembered.
“I had to google it. I didn’t believe it,” he noted.
