Summer slam 2025: Naomi retains women’s World Cup

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky got the WWE universe’s adrenaline pumping when they started evening two of Wrestlemania 41 back in April with Bianca Belair.

It was no different with naomi in the mixture instead of Belair as the three fought for the woman’s World Cup on Sunday night to start night two of the Summer slam at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ

Naomi entered the match when that defense champion had paid his money into the banking contract during the title match between Ripley and Sky by Evolution back in July. The moment the road paved the triple threat match on SummerSlam.

And the fans received the benefits.

Naomi had long warned the dressing room that “continue with caution,” and the mantra led into the championship match as she was able to steal one away from two of the upper woman’s wrestlers from any promotion.

Naomi may not have wanted any part of Ripley and Sky in the beginning, but when she got started, she was in full control to start the match. Ripley, who hits Sky with an accident boot, sets the scene for Naomi to take advantage and get on the offensive. She even chomped on her finger of Ripley.

It wouldn’t last too long. Ripley and Sky were able to get their little revenge and take Naomi out of the fight. Then Sky looked up ripley. Sky tried to start with high-flying acrobatics, but Ripley’s Powerhouse Tool gave her the upper hand.

All it required was a poisonrana to reset the match a little. Naomi broke a PIN attempt and got modeled up again to hit the sky with a shaving edge and a powerbomb. Naomi broke up the pin attempt.

When Naomi and Ripley moved the battle outside, Sky hit a majestic springboard meter and took out his opponents. Sky took control of the fight and apparently had the momentum.

All three competitors gave it all, and in the diminishing moments naomi took heaven, and Ripley surprised Naomi with a headbutt and a riptide. Like Ripley, Pin Naomi was supposed to be the Sly attempt.

Ripley and Naomi went outside the ring again. Ripley hit Naomi with a cannonball and tried to get back into the ring to focus on cloud. However, Sky turned over Ripley and hit a sunset Flip Powerbomb on Naomi.

Ripley was able to focus again when she was back in the ring with cloud. She hit the sky with a riptide from the upper rope. She tried to pin sky, but Naomi Snow back into the ring and rolled Ripley opposite the pin. She grabbed Rikey’s tights and got 1-2-3 Pinfall.
