PTI -supporters mobilizes nationwide prior to protest calls

Supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) began mobilizing from different parts of the country on Monday, ahead of the party’s official protest call. The movement comes when PTI marks two years ago imprisoned by its founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Early mobilizations were reported in different regions where PTI workers expressed demands for Imran’s immediate release.

In Lahore, a large crowd under the leadership of PTI figure Shakat Basra, who marshed through Key City Roads with party flags and sang pro-Imran slogans.

In Okara, PTI leader Mehr Abdul Sattar led a motorcycle rally where the participants raised the slogan, “drop our khan.” Convoys were seen moving towards a central point as part of mobilization efforts.

PTI Insaf Youth Wing also launched his first convoy from District Mohmand, who signaled growing grassroots -momentum, even before the formal call to protest was published.

In Sheikhupura, a protest movement was initiated by Punjab Assembly member Waqas Mehmood Maan, who also serves as senior vice president of the party’s Kisan Wing in Punjab. A significant number of farmers joined the protest and demanded the release of the imprisoned former prime minister.

Meanwhile, a PTI leader claimed police attacked her vehicle and wounded her as she tried to take part in a peaceful demonstration.

According to the statement, the incident found the Punjab chief -organizer Aliya Hamza Malik accompanied her. The leader also claimed that the authorities did not once allow peaceful protests to continue.

A convoy from Tehsil Tall is currently heading for Hangu.

Former Vice President Qasim Khan Suri wrote on X that “in Lahore, before accommodation attacks on Homes of PTI leaders and workers, individuals in plain clothing were seen breaking CCTV cameras.

More than six MPAs have been arrested in Lahore. Deputy opposition leader Moin Qureshi is withheld.

MPAS Farukh Javed Moon, Colonel Shoaib, Nadeem Sadiq Dogar, Khawaja Salahuddin, Aminullah Khan and Iqbal Khattak have also been arrested.

In addition, preparations for protests have also been completed in different constituencies across Lahore.

According to PTI Lahore President Imtiaz Shaikh, the party will have strong demonstrations in several areas of Lahore, and an attempt will be made to arrange a central power show in one place. However, given the situation, an alternative plan has also been prepared.

Meanwhile, the party claims that police to stop the protest have withheld more than 300 Lahore workers and carry out attacks on party leaders’ homes.

On the other hand, in anticipation of a possible protest call from PTI, the Rawal Pindi police have introduced extensive security measures, with over 4,000 officers deployed across the city, the urban police officer (CPO) said on Monday.

Special events have been taken around Adiala prison, including the implementation of the right management units to strengthen control in sensitive areas. Section 144 has been imposed in Rawalpindi and the authorities have promised to ensure that its full enforcement.

According to CPO, law enforcement monitors the situation through secure urban cameras and other monitoring tools.

Any violation of the law will encourage immediate action, he said, adding that no individual or group will be allowed to disturb public life.

Police Pickets and Patrol Teams have been activated throughout the country as part of the efforts to maintain law and order. CPO reiterated that the rule of law and public peace will be maintained at all costs.
