- Google Pixel 10 Series is Refreshed to launch with a new photography feature called Camera Coach
- It will allegedly use AI to analyze images fed through the camera and offer contextual suggestions
- It could come to all Pixel 10 models
The Google Pixel 10 series is just over the horizon this year is made by the Google event is scheduled for August 20, and we expect to see full revelations for the long rumored Google Pixel 10, Google Pixel 10 Pro, Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
There has been no slowdown in rumors as Google’s hardware exhibition window comes closer – on the contrary. In addition to getting a good look at the upcoming phones thanks to accidentally shared product images, we have heard lots about the new software tools and features that potentially come to Google’s next gene flagship ships.
Now a new rumor suggests that the Google Pixel 10 series could launch with a new photography feature, called Cameracoach, using AI to help users take better photos.
According to a report from Android headlines, the new camera acoach function will analyze the image that is fed through the cameras and offers contextual suggestions, such as keeping the camera at a different angle or looking for better lighting.
The Android headline report reports no further sources, but the place has a pretty solid track record with rumors and tip-offs.
Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL have already shown on our list of the best camera phones, so the addition of tools that help users get the most out of their phone’s powerful camera system seems like a no-brainer.
And as a skeptic of generative AI, I like that the camera acoach sounds like it will be more a tool designed to educate and equip users so they can trust their own photography later.
I can see that this is particularly useful for newcomers to mobile photography or those who only take a moment every now and then.
However, I will reserve my assessments for when I see the final product – this has the potential to be a very useful or somewhat annoying feature, depending on how camerahoach responds to your choices and whether there is a way to scale his advice up or down.
The Android headlines also suggest that the Google Pixel 10 series doesn’t get any major camera sensor upgrades, so software features like Cameracoach can prove to be important in deciding if an upgrade is worth.
