AMDS THADRIPRIPER PRO 9000WX series has given a battle that Intels Xeon Workstation CPUs may not recover.
Benchmarks from Puget Systems covering applications in the real world content creation found that the new Thadripper chips surpassed Intel’s Xeon W-3500 series over almost every category, often with wide margins leaving little space for excuses or disgust.
At the top of AMD’s Stack is 96-core 9995WX, priced at $ 11,700, delivering a Cinebench 2024 Multi-Core score of 7,508, 27% in front of the previous Gen 7995WX and a staggering 125% faster than Intel’s most powerful Xeon tested.
Threadripper pulls on?
Even the AMD middle class 9975WX with 32 cores ($ 4,100) routinely beat Intels 60-Core W9-3595X in workloads such as Blender, Davinci Resole and Unreal Engine Compiling.
Intel’s best could simply not keep up, neither in raw flow or watch velocity and so often ineffective for comparison.
In Photoshop, where High Single-Core Speed Matters, AMDS 16-Core 9955WX came on top with a total score of 11,384-Men’s Intels Xeon W5-3535X only succeeded 6,801, almost 60% of AMD’s best viewing.
Even the weakest Thadripper 9000 -CHIP tested surpassed each Intel CPU everywhere in the Adobes Suite with creative tools, including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
In AFTER EFFECTS 3D workloads, 9955WX again dominated with a 9% lead above 9995WX and a 40% advantage over Intel’s top athlete.
Davinci Res Rel Rel Rel Reaway emphasized Intel’s problem further: 9975WX scored 180 in Intraframe treatment, an improvement of 10% over AMD’s previous generation, while XEONS limped by more than 20%.
AI-related benchmarks using Llama.cpp consistently showed scaling at AMD, with the 9995WX treatment 16% more tokens per day. Second than its predecessor.
Intel’s xeon parts pulled even lower wire ripper models here, which further emphasized their inefficiency in modern workload.
Workstation tasks such as gathering in Visual Studio or Shader Building in Unreal Engine showed predictable trends.
9995WX and 9985WX completed these tasks dramatically faster, with the previous final Unreal Engine collection in 68% of the time required by the previous generation.
Intels Xeons simply couldn’t compete; Even their 60-core chip was surpassed by AMD’s 32-core deals.
While AMD’s new processors come with a 10-20% price increase compared to the 7000WX line, the performance will help Uplift and DDR5-6400 support justify it.
In almost every test, AMD’s dominance was clear and systematic, leaving the Intel’s Xeon series and then outdated and overpriced.
