Islamabad:
The Election Commission in Pakistan (ECP) has erected to have heard a reference seeking disqualification of the National Assembly leader of the opposition Omar Ayub, considering his conviction in a case related to May 9, 2023 rebel events.
According to a causal list issued by Polls Oversight Authority on Thursday, an ECP bench will hear the reference on August 12. PML-N Babar Nawaz Khan filed the petition.
A special anti-terrorism Court in Faisalabad on July 31, Top PTI leaders, including Omar Ayub, Senate Manager for Opposition Shibli Faraz, Sic chief Hamid Raza and Zartaj Yellow, sentenced 10-year prison.
