Google has removed Google Pixel 6A from its online renovated storefront, which means you can no longer buy the cheapest renovated Pixel phone from Google directly.
Although Google has not given any official ground or notice of Pixel 6A’s removal, the action follows several reports of Pixel 6A hand sets that are overheated and even catching fire.
We recently reported that Google had issued Pixel 6A with an update to try to limit overheating by intentionally restricting the charging performance and battery life.
However, Android Authority reports that at least one Google Pixel 6A fired up after the update was issued so that it is possible (but again, completely not -verified) that Google is pulling Pixel 6A in response.
Although we cannot suggest that Google has drawn Pixel 6A because of these reports, I would still recommend avoiding Google Pixel 6A when shopping at third -party dealers or in the used market.

Google Pixel 6A was launched in July 2022 as a cheaper version of the flagship Pixel 6. Our Pixel 6A review noted at the time that the life of the battery was a slight point for this middle handset, although we do not know if this is related to the currently reported problems.
In addition, Google is likely to avoid controversy during the Pixel 10 Series launch window-we expect full revelations to Google’s next re-flags of this year’s Google presentation on August 20. Handset from three years ago that caught fire, (ironically) would put a bit of a dampener on the celebrations.
