  • Security forces allow you to leave Bajaur for operation.
  • No conversations with terrorists until they submit to the state: security sources.
  • Terrorists who use negotiations as a smoke screen to save for war.

PESHAWAR: Security forces have laid out several opportunities for the tribe’s Jirgas in Bajaur for negotiations with Khawarij-The Forbidden Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) -How an operation will be performed if the terrorists do not leave the area, The news Reported Saturday.

The first option requires the terrorists to leave Bajaur, while the second option relates to the tribal evacuation for the operation, so that Khawarij can be terminated.

By rejecting any kind of government -level talks with the terrorists and their facilitators in Bajaur, the sources have excluded negotiations until militants completely submit to the state.

The sources also noted that a conscious effort was made to create ambiguity in discussions about the tribes and Khawarij in Bajaur, while the Earth’s realities were completely the opposite.

The terrorists, they said, used negotiations as a smoke screen to save themselves for war and lived among the people of Bajaur and at the same time participated in terrorist and criminal activities.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, including chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Security Officers, has presented three points for the tribes:

  • These Khawarij, most of whom are Afghan citizens, should be expelled from the area.
  • If the tribes cannot expel Khawarij themselves, they must leave the area for one or two days so that the security forces can bring them to their end.
  • If both of these steps are not possible, a maximum effort will be made to avoid damage to ordinary citizens because surgery against terrorists continues in any case.

The sources further stated that the tribe’s Jirga is a logical step to ensure public security before surgery. However, neither religion nor the state nor the values of the brave people in KP allow any compromise on the terrorists – the enemies of Islam and the state.

The security sources have made it clear that only the state has the authority to perform any kind of armed action. They said last year there were 600 terrorist attacks inside Pakistan, which had the economic and operational support of the Afghan Taliban.

The prospects for an operation in Bajaur are coming as the country has witnessed an uptick in terrorist activities since 2021, especially in KP and Balochistan.

According to a report published by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), an Islamabad-based think tank, there were 78 terrorist attacks across the country during June, resulting in at least 100 deaths.

Among those killed were 53 security staff, 39 civilians, six militants and two members of local peace committees.

A total of 189 people were wounded, including 126 members of the security forces and 63 civilians.

In total, the violence and operations led to 175 deaths in June – among them, 55 security personnel, 77 militants, 41 civilians and two members of the Peace Committee.

Security forces have been involved in ongoing anti-terror operations across the country and eliminated 33 India-backed terrorists trying to infiltrate the country from Afghanistan in Balochistan’s Zhob on Friday.

A large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered, Public Relations (ISPR) said between services (ISPR) in a statement.
