The US Court System has confirmed to suffer a cyberattack and says it is now working to reinforce its systems to prevent further intrusion.
In a press release published on the US Courts website, The Body said it recently experienced, “escalated cyberattacks of a sophisticated and sustained character.”
Without detailing the attacks or perpetrators, the message said Crooks was targeting his case management system and targeted sensitive files that were there.

The message does not go into detail about the reinforcement effort. It says the administrative office of the United States courts is working with Congress, the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other agencies.
American courts, both local and federal, have often been the goals of different cyber criminals.
Back in 2020, a cyber attack against the US federal justice system ended up being far more harmful than originally assumed, and by 2024 not named hackers attacked legal systems over the US state of Washington and forced the legal organization to close parts of its infrastructure to prevent further damage.
In the summer of 2024, the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, the largest in the United States, led a ransomware attack that forced it to close its entire operation in one day.
