A ski jumping contract controvers shrouded Norway and led to charges against five members of the country’s team, including two gold medals, announced the sport’s federation on Monday.

Marius Lindvik, John Andre Forks, two coaches and a civil servant was indicted as part of a study of “equipment manipulation” at the Nordic World Championships in March, said International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).

Each person was indicted for ethical violations of the alleged manipulation. Illegally modified suits can help ski jumpers fly further with more aerodynamic resistance. Lindvik won a gold medal in the men’s normal hill event at the World Cup, while Norway took the bronze home to the gentlemen’s team event on the big hill.

Both prices are in danger.

FIS gave no schedule for hearings or judgments in the case. The governing body said that prohibitions, fines and disqualifications of results are among the penalties that can be charged. The organization said it conducted interviews with 38 witnesses and examined 88 evidence in the case.

Norway’s main coach Magnus Brevik and equipment manager Adrian Livelen previously confessed to the manipulation and said the suit was first changed before the men’s big hill event.

“We regret it as dogs, and I am very sorry that this was happening,” Brevik said in March.

Lindvik and Forks were both on the team that took the bronze medal home in the World Cup. Fis disqualified them both from the individual big tray event and were suspended. Both refused involvement in the alleged scheme.

It is unclear what Lindvik and the Status of Forefront will be at the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
