Islamabad:
Punjab Council of the Arts Rawalpindi (Pucar) organized a magnificent musical evening entitled “Mera Pakistan” to celebrate the 79th Independence Day in Pakistan.
The lively evening showed a rich series of patriotic notions aimed at promoting national unity, cultural heritage and the spirit of independence. The event contained spell -binding performances by famous artists, including Dr. Mubashra Hafiz, Rameez Ishaq, Daniyal Raja, Maryam Khan, Sajeel Rabia Dawood and the famous Kashmiri Qawaal Group, who caught the audience with their soulful reproductions and patriotic tunes.
The event participated in a large number of citizens, artists and cultural enthusiasts who paid tribute to Pucar’s efforts to preserve and promote Pakistan’s cultural identity through such initiatives. The musical evening not only paid tribute to the victims made for the country’s independence, but also served as a reminder of the unity and diversity that defines Pakistan’s spirit and tribute to the soldiers responsible for success with Bunyan Ul Marsoos operation.
Parliamentary Secretary Information Shazia Rizwan was the main guest at the event. She appreciated the performance of the singers who delivered rich tribute to Azadi heroes and dedicated songs to Pak Army for her commendable services and victims. Director Arts Council Muhammad Shakoor stated that the independence day celebrations will continue until August 14.
